Adventure Quest
By Richard Lovejoy. Directed by Paige Blansfield.
8/4 - 8/28 2016 at Just the Fancy Room, Just The Tonic - Edinburgh
Following a development period as part of Dutch Kills’ annual Loose Leaf Reading Series, Dutch Kills was pleased to present this bawdy and unsettling comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Mr. Lovejoy demonstrated a nostalgic and approachable take on early text-based video games. Through absurdity and a faithfully constructed world Lovejoy examined what is means to be human, and the choices we do and do not have.

“*** This is the show for you if you love old style computer games, complete with eighties synthetic music and graphics... The ensemble is dedicated and performs well, with Edward Bauer as the Hero, particularly giving his all...The show is fun and plays on the nostalgia that exists for childhood computer games.”
“Adventure Quest is a loving homage to the great point-&-click adventure games of the eighties and nineties... This play will be an instant delight... The show is inventive, unique, and really really funny.”
